My Stand is loose and I cannot adjust the height of the screen

HP Recommended
Envy 23 Recline
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Stand is loose and I cannot adjust the screen height. It just falls to the bottom. This has been an ongoing problem.  But now I'm tryin to use it on a new desk. It's a major issue.

There are several computers in this general series:

Of the few units that I checked, I do not see a "Service Guide" listed that might show how the stand is constructed and (therefore) a hint of the underlying cause of the problem.

Just a wild guess - sounds like stripped support screws and / or some failure of the support mechansim used to hold / adjust the screen.

If the device is still under Warranty, contact HP Technical Support in your region.

  • Submit a case using the product's Serial Number (do NOT post that information here).
