Sorry no one replied to this earlier -- but you posted it in the Desktops section, and this is clearly a Laptop.

This is only a Support Community staffed mostly by volunteers and we can do nothing to track or recover missing property.

If you were signed into your device using a Microsoft account (you would know because your login screen would have shown an email address or you would be using a PIN code), then you can follow these instructions from Microsoft:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/11579/microsoft-account-find-and-lock-lost-windows-device

But, if you were signed in to your device using a local account, then you are basically out of luck.

What I recommend is contacting HP using this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true

Contact the local law enforcement authorities about the missing PC -- provide them all the information they need and show them proof of ownership. You will most likely need to this to have then return the PC to you if they find it

When the lost PC is returned, contact Absolute Software to see about getting Lojack for it. That enables you to report a lost PC and then locate it, once it is then connected to the Internet.

I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP
