Product: HP Z4 G4 Workstation IDS Base Model
Recently this computer started running slow. In troubleshooting I discovered the c:\ drive which is an NVME-M.2 drive has a sequential read throughput of less than 200 MBs using Crystal DiskMark 6.01.
Interestingly, when booted in safe/repair mode the throughput is > 3,000 MBs.
I have ensured all of the drivers are up to date. I scanned for viruses using bit defender and MS Defender. I have turned off all AV software, I have verified if anything was doing a lot of disk activity (using perfmon), and nothing is.
What troubleshooting steps should I do next?
