Hi there,
I picked up my new all in one pc today and it fired up with a noisy fan which is quite distracting. Its a low rumble and can be quite offputting when trying to concentrate.
I just wanted to know if the fans were meant to be audible in machines such as the one I bought or whether the one I purchased is faulty?
Thanks
Aaron

I reviewed your post and I understand that the system fan is making a loud noise.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
You need to check the fan noise on the same model of the computer at the store to understand whether the fan noise is normal or not. However, I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver on the computer from the below link and check if it helps.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

everything on my end is up to date - BIOS and graphic drivers. still making the noise.
what should we do?
the noise can be compared to a fly buzzing around you constantly and wont go away... it's doing my head in...

I recommend you contact support to further diagnose the issue.
Here is how you can get in touch with support.

2)Select the product type.
3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.
4)Select the country from the drop-down.
5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
Cheers!

Wrong forum, you want the consumer forums not this workstation/POS/Business forum

if the fan is loud/noisy the bearings may have begun to fail, or the fan blades may be damaged. fan replacement is recommended
if system is under warranty, contact HP support (select everyday for computer type)
