RP 5800
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hello

I am trying to convert a POS (RP 5800) workstation into a straight PC using just one SATA HDD, I installed WIN 7 32 bit (tryied also 64 bit) but it wont boot. The HDD is not coming form a RAID and was NTFS formatted prior to this, UEFI is disabled, legacy support enabled, I can see the HDD on SATA0 (dark blue connector), RAID disabled (set as IDE) but no boot.

Som ehelp will be highly appreciated.

all nessary drivers are posted on the HP web site

for windows 7, you need the correct RST driver and use the "F-6" method of loading the driver during windows setup

It worked. Thank you very much for helping me.

no problem, BTW you should set the Bios setting back to RAID+AHCI instead of IDE as that setting will give much faster drive speeds

you may have to either modify the registry or reinstall windows if you switch to AHCI google AHCI registry settings

Just changed it.

Thank you again...
