Hi,
I have a HP Proliant DL160 G6 server and I'm looking to buy a P410 Controller to be able to use my SAS drives.
As I search on Google for this, and on Ebay, I notice that there are different numbers on the controllers. It differs between "572532-B21", "462864-B21", "462975-001".
So my question is, what is the difference?
Is "HPE SmartArray P410 Controller 512 FBWC" a good choice or should I use something else?
Kind regards

wrong company, you want HP "Enterprise" who now is the company who makes hp servers not HP Inc (this site)
https://www.hpe.com/us/en/home.html
https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c01878235
with that said, the p410 controller is a supported device for this model server so it's up to you to determine if the controllers feature set meets your current needs and if not you should use another card that HP lists as compatible i would only use the HP number that is listed in the DL160 G6 parts list as HP has used this card in many different servers, and the card may have vairents like low profile or sas connectors on the top or on the side or back of the card also this card is available with different ram sizes with or with battery backup and with or without raid 5 capability the HPE site shows the stock card as no BBU, and only raid 0/1 ability (IE-no BBU and only 256 cach)
since your current question shows that you have limited experience with hardware compatibility i recommend you stay with the recommended HP card(s) as using 3rd party cards puts the onus on you to determine if a 3rd party card will fit/work correctly in this model server
you might also want to look at the adaptec 7000/8000 series cards or the Broadcom/LSI raid cards and then contact a local authorized company rep for further help on seeing if they support the card model you are looking at in this model server
