PIN out of Z440 memory fan connector?

Hey,

to glue those parts together, I'm using an UHU brand glue for hard plastics. PLA does not react too well to super-glue. It tends to not stick too well. The UHU stuff works pretty nicely.

When it comes to the CPU-fan. Yes, I already did the PWM to TACH mod on this cooler as well. If it worked ... I'll see that when the second rpm actually appears in the performance advisor. It seems, that it does not show up as long as it's not asked to be there. 

Since those HP workstations have not yet pulled the full TDP of those processors I installed, I'm actually not worried about the installation of said 2697A v4. I guess it will pull about 100 Watts again and thats it. The HP mainboard seems to restrict the power draw.

I am curious about the performance though.

Right now there is a 1630 v4 installed which is sub-optimal for smooth gaming.

When in comes to the RAM - sadly the 2666 MHz stuff is actually more expensive here. But at least your comment made me check for that and I'm happy I did.

Also part of this build will be a cooler-mod for the installed Zotac GTX 1080 Ti Amp! 

I ordered a replacement cooler for the Amp! Extreme version and I think that is might just fit. The "modding" part of this project will be that I'll have to cut the fins on the cooler to get it back from 2.5 slot width down to 2 like the smaller Amp! version.

That needs to be done so that I can keep PCIe slot 4 and 5 occupied. Wish me luck with that stupid idea. XD

Oh - I'm doing that because the Amp! runs a little too hot for my liking and a bit too loud.
