HP Envy 27-B111
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Anytime I access my camera, the program seems to be working but then produces the following error:

0xA00F4292<PhotoCaptureStartTimeout>

I haven't used a great deal of programs but each different one has the same error. Essentially the program cannot continue and makes my camera unuseable.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Let's reset camera app and check.

  1. Right click on Windows Start
  2. Apps & features
  3. Scroll down and click Camera
  4. Click Advanced options
  5. Click Reset
  6. Restart your computer
  7. Go to the Microsoft Store
  8. Click 3 horizontal dots on the top right
  9. Downloads and Updates
  10. Check if there is an update for this app > If yes, update it. restart the computer and check.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Sorry to delay. I think your solution works but I did it using Device Manager, then "Update driver" and asking Windows to search for an update. After rebooting my IR camera is working!! Just curious if you know if RESET the camera app and then updates does the same driver update? Thank you!
