Let's start with what model wer'e talking about...

 

What applications are running?

Could you provide a screenshot of your Task Manager tabs?

Without knowing anything about your standards, Have you checked for malware?

 

What did you do before it started to behave this way?

Any recent updates/upgrades? New applications?
