Hello HP Support,
I’m using an HP Elite Tower 800 G9 Desktop PC with an Intel Core i9-12900 CPU and HP 8AC1 motherboard.
My current working RAM module is the default green stick that came with the PC. Based on the sticker, it’s a:
• 16GB DDR5 5600 U-DIMM, 1.1V
• Manufacturer: SK Hynix (from sticker: MTC16C2085S1UC48BA1)
I recently purchased an additional stick:
• ADATA DDR5 5600 16GB U-DIMM
• Model: AD5U560016G-S, 1.1V
When I install the ADATA module (either alone or with the original stick), the system beeps (3 long, 2 short) and doesn’t boot.
Can you please advise:
1. Is this ADATA module compatible with the HP 8AC1 motherboard?
2. Does the system require a BIOS update to support it?
3. Are there specific RAM requirements or settings I should be aware of?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Dan Rotman
