The driver I posted in for the other person didn't work for your PC. because it uses an entirely different audio chip.
Your PC uses the Realtek HD audio chip, not the IDT one, and unfortunately I don't have any ideas for you to try since I'm not aware of any audio issues on W10 with the Realtek audio.
I have 3 different model HP business desktops, and one Dell running the latest version of W10 with the Realtek audio, and the sound works fine.
Did you try the Realtek audio driver from the Realtek site? You want the 3rd one down under the Windows driver section.

you do know ,right that most random sites that have driver are infected , why do that,
HP is your only safe and correct source for any HP PC, or get infected, so easy.
HP EliteDesk 705 G1 SFF
first off , is does HP support W10 on this old PC. answer YES.
G1 means old. nah 2014 is not old.
i pretend it is MT sized case, too lazy me to look up all 3 sizes( but you can at hp.com drivers)
bingo 1 second work (next turn off driver updates in w10 update pages) or may fail again. here is the official driver.
