When I moved from the States I lost my power cable for my HP 22-c0047d All-in-One Desktop PC.
Am now living in ireland.
where can I get a cable?
should it be an American power cable which I then use with a converter?
are there any issues with the difference in power sources.

Hi @2022Ebryan,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When relocating from the United States to Ireland, it's essential to consider the differences in power standards to ensure your devices work correctly and safely. Here’s how you can address the power cable issue for your HP 22-c0047d All-in-One Desktop PC.
Differences in Power Standards
- United States: 120V, 60Hz
- Ireland: 230V, 50Hz
Steps to Find a Suitable Power Cable
Check the Power Adapter Specifications:
- Look at the power adapter of your HP All-in-One Desktop. Most modern power adapters are designed to handle a range of input voltages (e.g., 100-240V, 50-60Hz). If this is the case, your adapter can handle the voltage in Ireland without a converter.
Finding a Power Cable:
- Type of Cable: Your HP 22-c0047d likely uses a standard power cable with a C13 connector (commonly used for PCs and monitors).
- Local Purchase: You can purchase a power cable compatible with your adapter in Ireland. Look for a power cable with a C13 connector that fits the Irish standard plug (Type G).
- Where to Buy:
- Online Retailers: Websites like Amazon UK, eBay, or specialized electronics stores.
Why Not Use a Converter?
- Safety and Convenience: Using a direct cable suited for the local power standard is safer and more convenient than using a plug adapter or voltage converter.
- Device Protection: Direct compatibility minimizes the risk of electrical issues or damage to your device.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
