EliteDesk 705 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Running the SP99766 always ends up in "not enough space on drive C:"

There are 200GB free and the SP is less then 2GB. Any ideas for a workaround? At least until HP fixes this (at least this is the Driverpackage for a business device.

are you sure the message is 200GB and not 200 meg free?

if you Left dbl click the my computer/this PC icon on the desktop what does the C: /Boot drive show? do you have a  d:\ drive/partition?

your sp is 1.2 gig in size and extracts to aprox 1.7GB, you will therefore need at least 3gb ram and 3gb free drive space for extraction

i tested the sp, and it downloaded and extracted without any problems, so the mesg you are getting when trying to extract the sp is most likely a valid one

Thanks for testing. But as it works for you, I am even really more confused.

I tried to extract it on four different devices with always the same error. All devices had more then 150 GB(!) free on c: and no additional driveletters. Also all of them have 8GB and above RAM.

Exact size of SP is identical on all four devices with 1.223.842 KB

Will test again on friday. For now thanks for testing and have a great X-mas

EDIT: Or did you just unzip it? That works. But in a company we use automated extraction for deployment. And running the SP99766.exe ends up in the error. So I actually would expect from HP a working SP.exe

HP Recommended

you can extract the files by dbl clicking on the SP, or you can extract all the files using winzip/winRar/7-zip by simply clicking on the SP file and selecting extract

Please try the dbl clicking with the file. Does it work for you?
