Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

Please be assured that you are not wasting my time.

I'm just trying to save you from wasting money on something that won't work.

You can always replace the mechanical hard drive with a 2.5' SATA SSD and get the same great performance you would get from a SATA SSD in the mSATA slot.

You stay blessed as well.

Hi:

A NVMe SSD will not work in the mSATA slot with or without an adapter.

You're very welcome.

That model SSD is a M.2 x 2242 drive, and will not fit in your PC's mSATA slot.

Also, I don't know of anyone that has gotten a NVMe SSD to work in the HP 8300 Elite model series such as the CMT or SFF.

That's quite ridiculous even the M key Shape SSD will not work in msata slot

i think the matter is about the pinouts msata got 15pin mark on the small cut while this one got 5 pin on the small.

correct me if i am wrong.

Thanks again for your valuable time stay blessed.

You're very welcome.

That may well be, but a NVMe SSD absolutely will not work in a mSATA slot.

The slot would only support SATA SSD's.
