Slow NVME drive?

HP Recommended
600 G3 Desktop Mini
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello HP,

We recently purchased this  new machine.

Having completed the initial setup I proceeded to install the windows updates - there were 4.

About 30 minutes later I came back to find it had only completed 6% of the first one...

Disk Activity in the performance monitor indicated abysmal read and write speeds - some even kbps!(???)

Furthermore,  the installation of various softpaq's produced similar results.

The speeds reported by Crystal Disk Mark seem to be in line with what the Toshiba KXG50ZNV256G will do.

So is this drive operating as it should?

Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated! 🙂

Cheers!

Ian

you are confusing to diffrent things

internet download speeds are not related to local disk speeds they are seperate things

if you had/have slow internet downloads this can be caused by numerous things  such as bad wiring from the ISP to your house, internet  congestion, issues with backbone providers, Ms servers busy or overloaded to name just a few things

usually a slow download on one site is not reflected on all sites, meaning just that one site is very busy

and if you try another site it will work normally

however if all sites are slow you need to contact your ISP (internet Service Provider) not HP
