Hi. I have HP Compaq 4000 Pro SFF based on LGA775 Socket, default CPU was set is E6600 , 2cores... i want to upgrade to more perfomance. So I found Q9550, its 4 cores 12mb cache and 95W tdp... when I switched on, i see error : "1802 - CPU not supported". So what maximum CPU I can set-up to work with this model HP PC? Where can I get specification or firmware to update?
Thx

You need to upgrade the bios to version 2.03 that supports quad processors.

Hi, @oswxp
The Illustrated parts and service map for your PC indicates that only the Q9550S, 65W, 2.83 GHz, 12-MB L2 cache processor is supported, not the Q9550.

The Nvidia GT 1030 low profile card may work in your PC.
I'm not very familiar with that model series.
I installed a 1030 GT LP card in a HP 8000 Elite CMT which is an upscale version of the 4000 Pro.

I have problem with full BIOS reset. I forgot password and cant get access now. I tried push the Reset CMOS button and also eject battery. Bios dropped with configuration and system time, but password still setted up. What I should to do to drop it? Maybe it default, i dont remember when and how is set it, it was awhile.

I'm sorry but we are no longer permitted to provide any assistance with removing BIOS passwords.
