T520
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Craeted iamge for T520 Win10 and deployed, clients are trying to install windows updates repeatly when turnrd off, don't complete do to Write filter being on. What is the prefered method of diabling updates on a Win10 image? I would think the base image would have this pre configured?

Try the following:

o   The Windows update feature is ON but the service is OFF

  1. Run: Services.msc
  2. Right click “Windows Update”
  3. Properties: Change “Disable” to “Automatic” and
  4. Start

HP Win10 IoT Enterprise 64-Bit Service Fix 0001

Description:

This package contains a service fix to address the issue of unexpected Windows Update screens on Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 64-bit thin clients when Windows Update is disabled.

These screens are not actually coming from Windows Update but use the same user interface. This fix will prevent the intermittent cases where these screens appear during a reboot.
