z820
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have 3 z820's , 2 updated to 20h2 and after that the Texas Instrumantes USB 3 xHCL Host Controller stopped working...

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43). I cannot roll back the installation and have done a lot (like intalling older drivers  even windows native usb3 drivers but nothing helped out.... I'm a little desperate cause i cannot get it to work again.  Anyone same problems or the answerto this?

Ceasare,

That problem is interesting for those of us using older systems that are gradually being becoming difficult to update by new software and hardware. It seems that HP does not directly supply the drivers for the TI USB controller.  Checking, the z620 TI XHCI USB controller driver is "up to date" even though it's from 2013- four years before the system was made.

1. Is the BIOS the latest version?

2. Is the chipset driver the latest?

3. Has uninstalling the drivers and then making a clean install of the controller been tried?
