HP Z230 Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I would like to add a Third screen to my HP Z230 workstation. I have connect the third screen to HDMI but it is not being detected. Could you please guide me how to add the third screen via HDMI or any other way.

Thank you.

Rear I/O:

1 DVI-I Single link and 2 DisplayPort (DP 1.2) outputs from Intel HD graphics (available on specific processors only);

2 USB 3.0 ports,

4 USB 2.0 ports,

1 serial port (optional),

1 parallel port (optional),

2 PS/2,

RJ-45 (LoM),

1 Audio Line-in, and

1 Audio Line-out,

Microphone;

2 IEEE 1394b ports (optional).

So, which of the 3 video-output ports are available for the 3rd monitor?

I have 2 HDMI ports and 1 DVI port still free for my 3 monitor. I have tried HDMI and DVI yet it wont detech my 3 screen.

there are quite a variety of video-adapters supported for your model.

If you connect just one monitor to the first of the HDMI ports, boot Windows, is the monitor detected?

If you connect a second monitor to the second of the HDMI ports, boot Windows, are both monitors detected?

If you disconnect the second monitor, and connect a monitor to the DVI port, boot Windows, are both monitors detected?

It's possible that the video-card will support "any-two-of-the-three" ports.

Also I forgot to mention I am using NVIDIA Quadro K620. I am using the NVIDIA dispalyports for my current 2 monitors.

Display Connectors:        DVI-I DL + DP 1.2
Max Simultaneous Displays: 2 direct, 4 DP 1.2 Multi-Stream
Max DP 1.2 Resolution:     3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz
Max DVI-I DL Resolution:   2560 × 1600 at 60 Hz
Max DVI-I SL Resolution:   1920 × 1200 at 60 Hz
Max VGA Resolution:        2048 × 1536 at 85 Hz

Are you "daisy-chaining" your 3 (or 4) DisplayPort monitors?

Are you using a "Y-cable" connected to the DVI-I DL to drive 2 DVI monitors?
