Linux

The USB 3.0 ports, both front and rear, operate poorly or not at all. They are detected and properly identified by the OS.

The current OS is Debian 12.1.

During investigation of the problem I found a driver on the HP site that it appears may be a correction:

USB 3.0 Redriver Background Utility for x86_64 Linux Worstations, Ver 502-1-1 Rev.A

This is an RPM file containing a shell script and a binary program to be loaded at boot. It also is over ten years old.

I may try it as is, but would much prefer to remake it from source if possible.

Is the source for this driver available from HP or another source known to HP?
