HP Z800 Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Z800 Workstation has been having some problems lately, but this one needs attention the most, whenever I unplug something from the motherboard ports and try to plug it back in or plug something else in, it no longer detects anything at all, the USB ports will work until you unplug anything from it, this happened today and I tried to move some USB devices around to get it more organized, but when I plugged anything back in, it no longer detects it, when I tried to move all the USB cables back to where it was, it still didn't detect anything, the only USB ports that work on my Z800 now is the front USB ports, but it only has 3 USB ports, and I have 5 USB devices I need to use. If anyone knows how to fix this or configure this, please reply.

you will need to test the usb ports using a live OS cd/usb key (in a working port

you can download a linux distro the runs from a cd or boot a windows 10 "pe" environment and see if all usb ports work under that OS

or you can try following ms recommendations on fixing an unresponsive usb port

last resort is a OS reinstall
