Good Morning,
I bought a workstation HP Z640, 1WV75ET, for a SCADA application and I need to know the MTTF of the machine.
In the data-sheets I found only MTTF for Hard Disk. I woulk like to find also the MTTF of the power supply or, better, MTTF of the workstation.
Can you help me to find it?
Thanks
Regards

I'm not sure this information exists (at least not in any revelant form) for a workstation
in order to get this value/number you would either need to emulate the parts that make up a z640 in software
and extrapolate the failure rate of all of the parts that make up a z640
or actually run 1000 or more systems for a set time and see how many failed and if the failure was motherboard/cpu/ram/prower supply/hard drive/fan related
next, while HP tries to replace with exact same part during the workstation's lifetime they may no allways be able to do so if the vender making the part changes/stopes making it requiring a new vender/part
due to the above, i don't think there exists a valid MTBF, best you can do is use the normal warranty (3 years) as a baseline since HP's warranty covers any failure in that time frame and hp is making the bet that the failure rate will be low for the warranty time
