Hello,
I have been trying to install a processing accelerator card in my Z230 Tower Workstation, however I am having trouble with my system being able to connect to the card. The card uses a PCIe interface, so I have it fully inserted into the PCIe3 x16 slot on the HP 1905 motherboard. I have all drivers for my card installed, and the card does not show up when using lscpi, dmidecode, or other hardware query commands. I have been informed by the manufacturer of the card that it requires the "enable 4G decoding" PCI setting in the BIOS to be enabled for the device to function properly. However, I do not see this option or any other PCIe options available in the BIOS menu; I am running BIOS version L51 v01.63 04/22/2020 with ME firmware version 9.0.31.1487. Is there any way I can get access to this BIOS setting on this machine? Alternatively, are there any workarounds that would allow me to enable 4G decoding some other way?
Thank you.
