Z400
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Workstation Z400 about 8 yers old. White horizontal lines 3 cm long in colums from top to bottom of screen. Over the whole screen. Graphics QADRO 4000... Monitor OK. Demounting the  graphics card and cleaning some part of the PC-card  made it function better but  lines came back after some time. I have made the same operation thre times later but after the last one the lines did not disappear.

Loaded the latest driver to the card. Win chrashed.. According to win hardware analys there are 24 Gb

memory installed "but only 3,5 Gb usable" ?? Means what? Memorys bad or memory management
outdated? Drivers old I guess.

you appear to have several issues

1. you have a 32 bit OS, this can only see/use up to 4GB Ram, to use all installed ram you need a 64bit OS installed (win 7 64bit)

2. lines on the video card, and crashing when the video driver is installed usually points to a defective video card

3. lack of general computer understanding, start by reading the user manuals for your computer (available from HP web site)

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-z400-workstation/3718668/manuals

and then other books on general computer hardware (use google search)
