Product: HP Z420

Hello,

Is it possible to upgrade HP Z420 with Xeon E5-1620 to Xeon E5-1660V2 or Xeon E5-1680V2?

No possible BIOS problems/restrictions?

HP Recommended

HP specs doest list  e5 xeon v2 cpu support, but this is dependant on motherboard revision.

 

early board revs are  not cabable of xeon v2 support

btw, this question has been asked quite a few times, you might want to try using the boards "search" function next time before posting a question as it may have allready been asked/answered
