Hello
I have been struggling with this for a few months now.
At first, I put it down to a failing graphics card perhaps but that was brand new only 2 years ago so I've now discounted. It must be a setting.
I finally got around to installing an HP ZTurbo boot drive and it was transformational. Truly fantastic addition.
Because the power consumption is so low in sleep mode, I basically now sleep the PC instead of shutting it down at night.
On key or mouse press, it is on the desktop in less than 4 seconds.
However, less frequent than more, I receive a Cable not connected message and the screen goes black. Sometimes it makes it to the login screen and then goes black. Sometimes it just goes black.
Then I have to press and hold the power button to switch the machine off (risking losing any unsaved work - although OneDrive normally takes care of that) and do a reboot from cold.
I've scratched my head over the BIOS settings but am almost afraid to change any of them for fear of losing the SSD boot capability. I know how well you folk researched the current settings for getting them running.
Any tips or ideas please to help to resolve this little idiosyncracy?
