Product: Z440
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Z440 came with 2 x Samsung 8GB modules, p/n M393A1G40EB1-CPB3Q

 

I want to add a pair of 16GB modules, p/n shows as Samsung M471A2K43BB1-CPB from HP's own docs. Is this the correct module for the Z440? Of course, the 16GB modules are twice as tall as the 8GB ones.  Will I need the cooling shroud if I am just using a total of 4 slots?

 

Lots of ways to make mistakes in ordering memory...
