Product: Z620
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to build a pc using the z620 motherboard.  I have already sorted out the 5 pin fan header and the 18 pin power connector, but I cannot figure out how to work around the front panel header.  The pins are in a nonstandard layout, and I could not find an adaptor online.  Does anyone know what I can do?

It would be nice if you had the version 2 Z620 motherboard, which can run the fastest Z620 memory and processors.  Look at your boot block date in BIOS to tell.

 

Sometimes the Z620 case/power supply/cables are sold as a "bare bones" purchase on eBay.  I have taken old slow version 1 Z620 workstations and tuned them to near highest-end Z640 performance by transplanting in a Z620 version 2 motherboard, 8 sticks of matching 1866 fastest Z620 HP RAM, and a HP-approved version 2 processor such as a E5-1660 v2 or E5-1680 V2 processor.

 

Your answer, if you don't go that bare bones version 2 route:  

HP Z620 Speaker annd Power Switch Cable 644320-004

HP Z620 Front USB Board and Cables, Grade A- Shape 644321-002

Dremel tool as needed.....
