HP Z620 Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

During a 10minute render I got these max temps:

-CPU#0:  77 Celsius

-CPU#1:  74 Celsius

Is that safe for rendering about few hours for more complex scenes?

Config:  Z620 + dual  E5-2690  , using thermal paste Gelid GC Extreme & 1 asterisk @ idle fan speed in BIOS

From what I recall the limit for these CPU's is around 90C, anything above 80C is considered hot. The Z620 does not have great airflow for a dual CPU config so IMHO you are doing ok.

Hi MtothaJ .  Did you render for long periods ( what time?)  at  80 C temps ?
