I've just changed out the ram in my Z8 for some faster 2666MHz units and I installed 12 x 8GB samsung DDR4 ECC units.  Dual processors, so used the CPU 1 and 0 channels slots 1,3,5,8,10, 12 and loaded in the order as outlined in the manual.  However CPU1 slot 1 ram stick is not showing up and I have 88GB instead of 96GB.  I tried a different ram module in that slot, but it doesn't appear to be working.  I have run the HP diagnostics and still no luck, so I think I might have damaged the slot putting the ram module in.

Can I put one of the ram modules into two of the other  12 white slots 2,4,? So swap them from CPU 0 & 1 slots 1 to something else?
