I currently have a system configured that uses a USB key to boot the OS (unRaid OS for those interested).  Everything is working and running fine.  BIOS is configured with boot order to boot USB, no Hard Drives enabled for boot.  Everything boots as expected.

I'm trying to enable wake on lan so I can remotely start the server in the event of power loss while I'm away.  The system is responsing to wake, it powers up but then I just get a blinking cursor in the top left of the screen and it never boots into the OS.  I have WOL enabled in bios and it is set to boot local hard drive.

I feel like it isn't trying to boot the USB device and instead trying to boot hard drives (which none are bootable), and ignoring the boot order.  Has anyone got a system doing WOL to USB?  is it possible?  Can anyone assist?

Thanks in advance,

Jared
