Hello!

I'd like to grease my 6 years old fans to make them a bit less noisy. Did anyone successfully disassembled - without damaging - Z820 fan Nidec T92T12MS3A7-57A03? Is it possible? How to do it - fans look like non-dismantlable?

no fan made for a PC or workstation or server is designed to be opened up the fans are sealed for their service life and while it's possible to remove the back label and apply a drop jewelers oil this is only a short term fix used to keep a fan in service WHILE A REPLACEMENT IS SOURCED.....................

in other words if you have a noisy or slow spinning fan, replace it in the z820's case replacement fans are available from HP (New) and also on sites like ebay (Used/New)

There are fans that can be opened and repaired - look here https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=computer+fan+repair but Z820 Nidec T92T12MS3A7-57A03 looks like been sealed for good - there's even no way to drop an oil under the label:

that's why I ask if anybody successfully opened it for greasing witout serious damage?

reread my original reply,....... just because you can open or remove a label to try applying oil DOES NOT MEAN THE FAN WAS DESIGNED FOR USER ACCESS

again, the fans on PC/workstations/servers are sealed units and the bearings are not designed for user access and require no user maintenance in regards to lubrication, if the fan is not working to spec replacement is the only proper action
