@DGroves
Thanks a lot for your reply, I have tested 8 Identical Micron (MTA36ASF2G72PZ-2G3B1QG) 16GB 2Rx4 DDR4-2400T modules, the system boots fine only with the following configurations:
If CPU1 channel 3 is populated I get 5 beeps:
If the 2nd bank of Channel 1 for both processors is populated with 16GB DDR4-2133P the system boots fine too

you either have a bad dimm socket or a bad memory controller on cpu 1
or cpu 1 socket pins are not all making contact with cpu
last, are cpu's retail/release or engineering ES/QS samples? non retail cpu's can have several issues

Thanks for your reply
-I have tested a matched pair of E5-2680V4 (2016 Batch) with the same memory 16GB 2Rx4 DDR4 2400T,
thanks to God no more beeps but the overall (After effects rendering performance) is a little bit slower.
The only difference is that the matched pair are 27 weeks older (2nd week of 2016) and the FPO initial letter J instead of L which I believe stands for the manufacturing country/site is that correct?!
J: USA
L: Malaysia
- I had the same doubt until I tested CPU1 in a Dell T7810 workstation it works fine in quad channel mode with 2400T modules (no beeps)
- All the processors I have tested are retail/release

you cannot mix Low power dimms and std power dimms and the z820/z840 support both module types so make sure that all modules are one or the other

Thanks for your reply
MTA36ASF2G72PZ-2G3B1QG are RDIMMs, I didn't mix modules in the latest test with the matched pair of Xeons only identical DDR4-2400T were used
any clue about the FPO first letter L or J ?!
