Hello community !

A friend of mine has a Samsung SSD Interne 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 plugged with a glotrends PA09-HS M.2 NVME Adaptater in his computer (I don't know what model).

I'd like to know if I can plug the same in my Z8G4 workstation, as it is much much cheaper than HP Z Turbo Drives.

Any advice please ?

the hp z8/z4 line has native bios support for booting nvme based ssd's

however i don't know if the dedicated HP ssd slots will work with normal PCI-e based carriers or 3rd party ssd's

it will work if you use a normal PCI-e slot on the z workstation with a 4x carrier and any 3rd party nvme based ssd

Thank you that's what I was thinking.

So I can plug the pcie x4 adapter into a normal pcie slot.
