desktop manual needed

HP Recommended
HP ENVY Desktop - 795-0040xt CTO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Brand new HP came with no power cord (now ordered) and NO useable USER MANUAL.  HP sent me a link to a "User Guide" (which I already had) instead which is for "Regulatory, Safety, and Environmental Notices." All electrical informatiion not a USER MANUAL. Both by Support chat and today by phone they have not put me in touch with a USER MANUAL for the basic computr and desktop/tower. Although it is a customized cpu I would still benefit from having a USER MANUAL for the non-customized version. HP ENVY Desktop - 795-0040xt CTO. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

@jharding59

You are corrrect -- the general user guide is missing for this and some similar models.

Not sure if this is "close enough", I did find User Manual for the following model:

HP ENVY Desktop - 750-055xt CTO

User Guide

I have asked that someone take a look -- there may or may not be a quick response.  "We" are not HP Technical Support - we can ask, we cannot access internal HP.

The user guide that comes on the computer needs a diagram showing all the different ports and connections. It's pretty useless.

most ports in use today are fairly standard and will only fit the matching connector,  so having a manual is not as critical as it once was, which ports are you having trouble id'ing?

I'm aware that all the connections are different and distinctive. Actually, my problem is the same as with most computers: everything is black-on-black with teeny-tiny icons, difficult to locate anything without a good flashlight (and sometimes a magnifier). It would be helpful to have a roadmap. I've owned a number of computers and the manuals always had diagrams.

I realize it has been a year... I have a similar problem, as there is no manual for the very similar 795-0030xt, and that's the one I'd like to find. Incredible that they could not come up with one. Spent all afternoon asking HP and all I could get was the generic manual for the 795 series which is basically a kindergarten computing guide.

When starting this reply I thought there was a manual for the 0040 but I was wrong, that is also the generic one. I did find this link to a chart of the Berks motherboard, which I found just by searching HP for the word Berks. https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06008802?jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0001

That shows the slots and stuff with labels you can read. It's a start...
