new Z2 G9 system. for the second time while working my monitors flash then the fans start spinning faster and faster. CPU sitting at under 10%. i have to cut the system off for fear the fans will blow or something as they just continue spinning faster and faster

I promise I'm not just replying to all your posts for fun. I also had this particular issue with the same system (Z2 G9). It only happened once a couple months ago, but it was terrifying. If I hadn't shut the thing down manually it sounded like it was going to start shooting fan blades everywhere. Didn't have time to look at which fans (CPU, case, GPU) since I was in panic mode.

 

I don't have a solution for it (can't reproduce it either; don't want to), but I can confirm it happened once to me.
