hp z2 mini g3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought the hp z2 mini g3 with just a sata 1 TB drive.

I purchased this M.2 SSD,

Samsung SM951 512GB NVMe MZVPV512HDGL-00000 M.2 80mm SSD - OEM

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015CWR4M2/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It doesn't show up in the BIOS or in Windows.  I have tried it in another HP laptop and the SSD works fine so it is the computer.  I have tried checking and unchecking the M.2 box in the BIOS setup but still nothing.

Can anyone verify whether or not this is compatible and if so what I need to do to get it to be recognized?

It seems it is not compatible.  Speaking with Sales they just said it needs to be Gen3 PCIe M.2 80mm, which this particular one does not mention Gen3, so that is probably the problem.
