HP z800
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'd like to upgrade my hp z800 with either gtx 1050ti 1050 or 1060 3/6gb. Main usage would be gpu computing for Deep Learning libraries. Let me know if any of the above cards would work. I'm ready to remove the hard drives to increase available power. Below are my current specs:

PSU
850 watts

Operating System
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

CPU

all of the cards listed should pose no issues power wise with the stock 850 watt supply, the 1060 card can draw 120 watts

with the 1050 series not even needing a aux pwr connection as they are under 75 watts, and powered directly by the pci-e bus

I appreciate the response. Thanks. My PSU has got only one 12A rail, do I need to use an aux power line for 1060/70/80? can you pls forward me to an online resource how to do it? also, is it wise to do so?

again, please download the z800 "service manual" and read it

the z800 has a multirail type power supply not a single rail, the supply is a custom unit that only fits the z800

and depending on the power supply  two or three six pin GPU aux connectors

the stock 850 watt has two gpu aux

the optional 1250 watt has three aux
