Hi:

Updating the TPM 1.2 device to 2.0 is not supported on your PC.

This does not necessarily mean you can't install W11 on your PC, but you would have to perform a clean install and reinstall all of your programs and files.

If you want to see if W11 works on your PC, you can make a bootable W11 USB installer from the link below.

See this article.  3rd headline from the bottom.

If for some reason, W11 does not work correctly on your PC, you can reinstall W10.

I currently have W11 clean installed on two PC's that I have, that do not meet the requirements for the W11 upgrade and they both work fine on W11 so far.

and if you are moderately skilled you can run these PowerShell scripts to bypass the TPM on the latest pre release win 11 build

one is for doing a win 10 to 11 upgrade the other one creates a win 11 iso without the TPM check

Thank you DGroves for that!

For those here who like to read a lot HERE is a link to a great just-released article with lots of details on the W11 upgrade whether the workstation supports it or not.

I took a few minutes to capture the article and the comments up to today, and it is attached as a PDF.  It is a bit under 2MB so I think it will be accepted.  It is handy as a single document to search through for details you might want to know (for example, on GPT formatting conversion).  See below...

EDIT:  A friend just sent me another great current LINK :

I strongly recommend using the simple registry edit approach. It's super simple and then you can just download the Win11 installer .iso from Microsoft and install.
