HP Z240 Tower Workstation
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

after upgrading bios of a z240 wks to 1.65 we are experiencing shutdown problems and weird bluescreens. As we have just realized HP has pulled zhis bios version again. Is it save and possible to go back to 1.63 bios version?

Best regards Joerg Odenwald

i recoment you contact HP support directly as this support forum is not  the best place to get a answer for your specific issue

as far as i know hp does not let you downgrade a existing bios on these workstations but you have a special case so there may be someting they can/will do for you

It is in fact possible to downgrade the bios. But I don't know if this will revert those faulty microcode updates included in 1.65.
