there is no official HP 500 watt upgrade for your G290 G4 however the motherboard in the 290 G4 is used in several other HP systems and one of these may offer a higher wattage power supply
confirm your motherboard has label marked L90453-001 or -601

the 280 G6 microtower does offer 180/310/500 watt power supply options
