Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

i would like to upgrade the actual grafic system by using a external grafic card. Is this possible and where i should put my grafic card to be able to use the software SPIKE from signal hound usa. This software is a measurement software up to 4 GHz.

external video card boxes use thunderbolt which the dc7800 lacks and it can not be added to the 7800

you will be better server replacing the dc7800 with a newer system that can take modern upgrades

a z400/z600 or the newer z420/z620 are excellent systems and you should look into them, they are available on ebay in various configurations

last, a simple check of the software vendor's site provides the recommended hardware requirements

https://signalhound.com/spike/    (FAQ Postings. hardware requirements link)

new PCs we recommend dual/quad core Intel i5/i7 4XXX processors and greater. We also recommend your PC have OpenGL 2.0 support. You can check for OpenGL support by looking at your graphics card or integrated GPU specs. Most integrated GPUs found on the new i-series processors will have sufficient capabilities to run the Spike software.

in the future, please take the time to check a programs requirements yourself first as doing so will then let you decide if the current hardware meets the recommended specs (your current hardware DOES NOT meet recommended specs)
