Hi all,

I too am having the 6x flashing red light error on my Z400. I've read through your posts and understand that it relates to the Compute setting, and have even tried moving my graphics card to the second available slot however still had the red light error.

My confusion stems from the fact that I have not changed anything in my BIOS settings... I was updating to Windows 10 and left the room, only to then hear my PC beeping and find the red light issue. Is there a chance the Windows 10 update has changed my BIOS settings? I gues my next step is trying the card in the PCIe 8 as mentioned earlier.

Thanks for your help in advance!

The dreaded 6x flashing red light error is related to the inability of the Z400 to initialize the graphics card. (In my case, because I was fiddling with the BIOS PCIE Compute setting)

In my humble opinion, your problem is totally unrelated to the Windows 10 update.

Please check if your graphics card is working properly. Try reseating the card it in the slot or switching  to another slot. If this doesn´t solve your problem, try with another card (a cheap one will do fine for testing)

Please keep us posted on how it worked for you.
