z620 -> 6 bips , pause ....

hello

i ve received an refurbished z620 always covered by hp warrenty . 

i fully populated it , with twh e5-2680 , and 12 x 4gb ecc reg memory . 

and tried ( because no video card comme with this  z620) an accelerated card based on the geforce GTX 580 chipset .

when i pressed the power buton ... after 30 secon i think .... 6 bips - 2/3 sec pause - 6 bips - pause . 

i ve tried an radeao based card .... same issue .

i m very disapointed , motherboard is defective ?

six beeps is a video card related error

the GTX580 card is a bit power hungry, and uses around 250 watts  and not a recommended card nowadays (but still useable)

since you don't state which radeon card we can't comment on this

most video cards, require you to attach 8 or 6 pin Aux power connectors to the video card have you done so?

if you need a 8 pin gpu connector you will need to buy a 6 pin to 8 pin adapter available from amazon/google to convert one of the two z620 6 pin gpu aux connectors to a 8 pin one
