Add Help label on solve Numeric view
04-26-2019 08:55 AM

Is it possible to add a Help label on the solver numeric view ? So far I've found that this is only possible using the Input command, but, is there any other way?

Hi!, @Jorge_rui :
You can use "INPUT", from ...
Syntax : INPUT(var,[“title”], [“label”], [“help”], [reset_value], [initial_value]) Syntax: INPUT({vars},[“title”], [{“labels”}], [{“help”}], [{reset_values}], [{initial_values}])
See, this examples created by Eddie Shore, from ... https://edspi31415.blogspot.com/2014/05/hp-prime-ways-to-use-input-command.html
If you have used before HP50G, see ... https://www.hpmuseum.org/cgi-sys/cgiwrap/hpmuseum/archv021.cgi?read=256112

I know about that, if you read I’ve stated that on my question, did you reade it ?
i want to know if you can change the normal solve numeric view behavior, adding a help tag to what ever variable you have.
But the responses I see here from people with high ranks, are nothing but spam

Hi!, @Jorge_rui :
Only you have help line command, if use INPUT, in program, not in your question and i not write spam.

Hello,
It is probably possible to use the INPUT command to do somehting close to what you want (but probably not exactly what you want), however, I am not 100% sure as I am not 100% sure that I understand what you want to do.
Now comes the other part of the question/answer. Here again, an I am not 100% sure I understand your intend.
If what you want to do is "mimic" the solve num screen in your own app, then no problem, use the INPUT command as above, however, from your previous answers, I am assuming that what you want is to change the SYSTEM solve numeric view to suit your needs...
In this case, you can still use the code developped using the INPUT command and assign it to the solve app numerical view using the solve app program so that YOUR code is called when you press NUM and not the standard code. But this will take more work, and as I said, you probably will not get exactly what you want.
Among other things, you will have to redo the screen from scratch, you will not be able to "piggy back" on the existing screen.

At last a solution, contrary to what Maké was doing. By this time I've started to search on other calculators to see if they are more flexible on ther programable capabilities.
Thanks!

Hi!, @Jorge_rui :
I repeat, what you needed is only possible in HP PRIME, in program with the command INPUT.
Have a nice day !.
