Can't find #adv feature on HP 17bII+

Hi, 

I recently changed the batteries in my HP 17bII+ Financial Calculator.

When I received it first from my employer, it was set up in the way that when I turned it on every time I saw the following inputs;

N   I%YR   PV   FV   PMT   #ADV

I have managed to retreve all of the above except the #adv function. (payments in advance)

Can someone please advise how I can restore my previous settings?

Hi,

Most likely what you saw was the inputs for variables of an equation that was entered by the previous user.

For an example using advance payments, see page 199 of the user manual:

For instructions on entering equations and using the solver, see chapter 12 (page 153 to 183).
