Solved!
Connectivity Kit not seeing HP Prime Pro emulator
01-26-2018 04:11 PM

Just downloaded and installed the HP Prime Pro emulator from the Microsoft Store. Just downloaded and installed the HP Prime Connectivity Kit on my Windows 10 laptop. The CK recognizes my physical HP Prime just fine and in the past I've been able to update the firmware, so there is not a problem between the CK and physical calculator.
But the CK does NOT recognize the emulator running on the same PC, and in the emulator 'app commands' menu, when I select 'calculator' then 'connect to' I am taken to the Wireless Network Properties window.
Any ides why the HP Prime Pro emulator is not being recognized, or how to otherwise establish a connection between physical and emulator calculators?
ThankYou/Chuck

Going back to that older (and free) version of the virtual calculator worked. Both hardware and virtual now show up in the Connectivity Kit. Now I wonder why I spent $20 to buy the newer version.

You didn't purchase the Virtual Emulator, Firmware and Connectivity Kit. All, you can download free.

You may be very knowledgeable about HP Prime connectivity, but you do not know "what I did" and you make yourself look foolish by trying to tell me what I did. The fact is that I BOUGHT the HP Prime Pro emulator from right here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/hp-prime-pro/9nblggh5xsl5
for $19,99. I appreciate your help with a solution to my problem, but you pretty well ruined that feeling with your arrogant response to my last.

Hi!, @ChuckBecker:
Is not arrogance response. It's true and very easy for install.
If you have Microsoft Windows as Operating System incluided Windows 10 with the ultimate's 1703 and 1709 version's, you only needed download this free, from ... ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/calculators/Prime/
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/calculators/Prime/HP_Prime_Calculator_Firmware_20170710.zip
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/calculators/Prime/HP_Prime_Connectivity_Kit_20161208.exe
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/calculators/Prime/HP_Prime_Virtual_Calculator_2016_12_08.exe
I'have installed in my HP Tablet's HP Slate 7 2800 and HP 21 k-100 with Android, but in this cases you needed purchase.

The only differences I know between the virtual calculator and the payed HP Prime app for Windows are that the Windows app can be set to give Touch Sounds and that the arrow keys are designed more beautiful.
Maybe the app looks better on a Windows phone, I do not know, I have none.

Hi!, @ChuckBecker:
You didn't purchase the Connectivity Kit, for HP PRIME GRAPHING CALCULATOR, for use in Notebook or Desktop, from Microsoft. You only needed download and install the old version, from site of HP ... ftp://ftp.com/pub/calculators/Hprime
With the same site, you needed download firmware and Virtual Emulator.
From the Connectivity kit, if open yo can upgrade the Software version of your physical HP PRIME calculator.
I'm have installed in my HP Omni PC 120-1026la All in One, with OS original with license Windows 7 Home Premium and too, in my HP Pavilion 15-br001la, with Windows 10 64 Pro, version 1709 and run OK and free without purchase.
You can intend too, download the Connectivity kit, from ... http://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/prime-graphing-calculator/overview.html?jumpid=va_a5cqf1p9xi
The file, is ... https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/HP-Prime-Graphing-Calculator/5367459/mode...
