Connectivity Kit problems
03-19-2018 11:04 AM

I've been having problems in connecting my Prime to the connectivity kit. I saw that there is a firmware update but when i try to do a backup there so i can start it, the program closes and i can't. The program closes with an error if i try to click on my prime too. I have a lot of content saved up that i cannot loose but it won't let me do the safety backup

If I'm understanding you correctly, you click to expand the calculator in the tree and it errors. This most likely means you have some bad date/saved info loaded up in your calculator somewhere.
What is the current version of your calculator software? Is it very very old?
Do you have the emulator installed on your windows computer/mac?
If so, try this -
Close the connectivity kit and open the emulator.
Go into the memory browser (shift-toolbox) on your calculator.
Plug your calculator into the computer.
Do you see a "SEND" button appear on the menu at the bottom?
Try clicking SEND if so. Does all your APPS end up in the emulator?
Repeat for other data types.
Although I work for the HP calculator group as a head developer of the HP Prime, the views and opinions I post here are my own.
