Graphs stopped working

HP 50g Graphing Calculator

Hi!

I have been trying to graph this function 2x^{4}-5x^{3}+x^{2}-6x+9, but it isn't working. The calculator shows a totally different graph from what Desmos showed me. Later on, I tried to graph y=x and it showed nothing. Did I mess up for good?

In case the pictures don't work: https://imgur.com/a/DbsjMm4

To get the same graph, you'll have to make the "window" settings the same.  In your screen shot, the HP 50g's "V-View" (vertical window setting, that is, the min and max values of Y) are very different from the Y values in the Desmos graph.  Change the H-View and V-View settings in your 50g to match the Desmos window, and try again.

Hint: After setting the window size, don't use the AUTO button!  It changes the window size without asking you.  Use the DRAW button instead.

Disclaimer: I don't work for HP. I'm just another happy HP calculator user.
