# HP 50G When graphing, old graph is overlaped

HP Recommended
HP 50g Graphing Calculator

Hello, I have an HP 50G Graphing Calculator and I have this error that when I graph something: I set the new equations and windows (I eddit or delete the Y1, and others previously there) but when I press Graph, the old window (with the lines and everything on it) is still showing up overlapped with the new window and functions. The only way I know to see it how I want it is to zoom in and out, but I have to spend the time to do it and soon I'm having a timed test where doing that will make the difference. Please help!!

Hi!, @matab:

For create one GRAPH, press left white shift and F1 (Y=).

You see ...

PLOT FUNCTION

Example :

Y1(X) = SIN(X) and ENTER

PLOT - FUNCTION

Y1(X)=SIN(X)

Press F6 (DRAW)

Now, you see the sinusoidal curve, from 0 to 2PI

For ERASE, press first CANCL

Now, press F5 (ERASE)

in VAR (RPN), you see ...

EQ

Y1

PPAR

For delete ...

{ EQ Y1 PPAR } TOOL and F5 (PURGE)

Kind Regards !.
Have a nice day !.

Hi,

When you're in any of the following: "Y=", "WIN or "2D/3D" menus, select ERASE (F5) to delete the previous graph, then DRAW (F6) to draw the new graph.

Regards.
